Meet our Personal Trainers


Fairwinds Wellness Instructor Scott Burke has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science and Health. This young Irishman is passionate and enthusiastic about recreational sports and personal training. His background includes performance analysis and fitness testing with elite swimmers and soccer players, although he has worked with a variety of people from beginners to the elite including Olympic weightlifters and Gaelic football teams. Scott specializes in postural improvement, lower back pain and functional training. He has organized and participated in several charity events including ‘For The Kids European Cycle’ and other 24 hour run/cycle events for children’s charities. Scott also has an interest in Water Based teaching and is a National Pool Lifeguard. Whether in his fitness classes, one-on-one personal training or small group training sessions, Scott will always get you motivated and moving.

Sharon Fleming  |  PERSONAL TRAINER

Prior to relocating to Vancouver Island and joining the team at Fairwinds Wellness Center, Sharon Fleming operated her own training business for 10+ years. She worked as a conditioning coach for elite soccer, hockey and softball teams, as well as doing personal training, small group training and contractual work at the Richmond Country Club. Since 1998, Sharon has been recognized as a Registered Personal Trainer through the BC Recreation and Parks Association and the IDEA World Fitness Association. She has a Diploma in Fitness and Nutrition and is a Sport Movement Specialist. Adventures are Sharon’s passion. She enjoys leading groups on kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, zip-lining and bike touring trips, both locally and internationally, and participates in running events, adventure races, ice hockey and large fundraising activities. She continually takes pride in furthering her education through national and international Fitness Conferences. With an emphasis on creating fun, realistic, and sensible programs, Sharon strives to motivate you in your personal approach to fitness.
